Independent Facilitation Services IFS

At U.N.I., we are committed to person-centered planning that empowers each individual to lead a self-directed life. Our Independent Facilitators (IFs) support participants in making informed decisions about their individual budgets and in identifying, accessing, and coordinating services aligned with their Individual Program Plan (IPP).

Our IFs work closely with participants to understand their goals, needs, and long-term vision, providing guidance, advocacy, and ongoing support throughout the planning process. Services include facilitating person-centered planning meetings, developing and implementing individualized plans and budgets, connecting participants with appropriate resources, and assisting with service coordination and agreements.

Independent Facilitators also help navigate challenges by offering mediation, crisis support when needed, and regular check-ins to ensure services remain effective as needs evolve. With a focus on collaboration, accountability, and confidentiality, our IFs help ensure that services are meaningful, high-quality, and responsive to each participant’s unique goals.
